  Neferiu Records is pleased to report that our head offices have been transformed into a giant party as a result of ‘Rusty Hooks’ a digital 12 inch from our friends DJ Big Moves and his go-to rhymesayer, Fatt Matt.
  
  The 9-track collection features 4 killer songs, all of the toe-tapping variety. Although the tunes vary in style, they are held together by consistently crisp production (Moves), well-laced vocals (Matt), and an entertaining Friday night vibe. East Coast transplants who are well established in Canadian hip hop, the duo delivers the goods from top to bottom.
  
  The title track see’s Fatt Matt lead us through hard-hitting verses and call and response hooks atop a head-nodding Moves beat. In contrast, the smooth stylings of ‘Night Life’ will evoke images of drinking premium liquor in fur pajamas with a harem of beautiful women. Be careful, or you will be seduced by the vibrant sax arrangement.
  
  The EP is rounded out by two tracks that may seem novel if they weren’t so incredibly well done. Fatt Mattlock finds Matt spitting deadly verses atop a beat based on the instantly recognizable Matlock theme, while ‘Fatt’s Gonna Getcha’ is a hilarious yet surprisingly poignant re-imagining of the BDP classic ‘Love’s Gonna Getcha’.
